Geography
Africa is the second-largest continent in the world, both in terms of landmass and population, with 54 recognized sovereign countries. The continent is incredibly diverse, with a wide range of cultures, languages, climates, and ecosystems. For a clearer understanding, Africa can be divided into several major geographical regions, each with distinct characteristics: North Africa, West Africa, East Africa, Central Africa, Southern Africa, The Horn of Africa, & Island nations. Africa's geography is as diverse as its cultures and people, with regions ranging from arid deserts to tropical rainforests and highland plateaus. This diversity in geography and history is a defining feature of Africa’s global importance.
